Southport Central

Southport Central is an 18,000m2 multi-purpose development on Queensland's Gold Coast comprising three towers with integrated residential, shopping and commercial precincts. This significant project was placed into receivership in 2008 with just 75 per cent of construction completed due to a series of issues, including industrial relations problems, cost overruns, delays and a long list of creditors. Receivers KordaMentha commissioned Gowdie Management Group to manage the completion of the project. Our task was to provide project management and development management services. Once construction was complete, we were tasked with coordinating commercial and retail tenancy fitouts of all three towers.
